Scholarship

UWA offers a range of scholarships to support international students in their academic journey. These scholarships are designed to assist with tuition fees and other associated costs.

1. Global Excellence Scholarship

  • Coverage: Up to AUD $48,000 over four years for eligible undergraduate courses; up to AUD $24,000 over two years for eligible postgraduate courses.

  • Eligibility:

    • International student applying for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.

    • Undergraduate: Minimum ATAR of 85.00.

    • Postgraduate: Minimum WAM of 65.00.

    • Exclusions: Not applicable to Assured Pathway to Medicine, Assured Pathway to Dental Medicine, Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Doctor of Optometry, or UWA Micro-credentials.

2. International Student Award

  • Coverage: AUD $5,000 per year for the normal duration of the course.

  • Eligibility:

    • International student applying for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.

    • Undergraduate: Up to AUD $20,000 over four years.

    • Postgraduate: Up to AUD $10,000 over two years.

3. Global Sporting Excellence Scholarship

  • Coverage: Up to AUD $48,000 over four years for eligible undergraduate courses; up to AUD $24,000 over two years for eligible postgraduate courses.

  • Eligibility:

    • International student applying for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.

    • Demonstrated excellence in sport.

    • Exclusions: Not applicable to Assured Pathway to Medicine, Assured Pathway to Dental Medicine, Juris Doctor, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Dental Medicine, Doctor of Optometry, or UWA Micro-credentials.

4. Western Australian Premier’s University Scholarship

  • Coverage: Full tuition fees, living allowance, and other benefits.

  • Eligibility:

    • International student applying for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree.

    • Outstanding academic achievement.

    • Application Period: Open from 1 August 2025 to 14 November 2025.
