The University of Western Australia is the only Australian university that offers a combined PhD and Master's degree in Audiology that can be completed over four years. Audiology is the clinical science involving the prevention, assessment and rehabilitation of hearing loss and associated communication disorders.

 

Students completing this combined course obtain both a Master of Clinical Audiology degree and a PhD degree. Students undertake most of the formal coursework and assessment for the Master of Clinical Audiology program in addition to undertaking a major research project towards their PhD. Students are provided with opportunities for extensive supervised clinical placements in a variety of workplace settings.
