Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec) was established in 1904 and is a government-owned institution that has been a cornerstone of New Zealand’s education for over 100 years

WelTec is a strategic partner with Whitireia Community Polytechnic, delivering a range of career choices to International students.

WelTec trains around 6,100 domestic and international students per year. They offer a range of industry-led qualifications from certificates through to degrees and postgraduate programmes. Their qualifications are future-focused, developed with industry to give students practical skills to pursue their career goals.

It is the key regional provider of vocational education, with over 150 programmes offered from its campuses in Petone and Wellington.
