MSc Maritime Operations

Master of Science in Maritime Operations is structured over 18 months and comprises of three semesters. The first and second semesters each consist of three core modules and one elective, with students having the option to choose their elective from two available options. The final semester, occurring in the second year, is dedicated to the completion of a Maritime Operations Research Dissertation on an approved topic of research. Additionally, the program offers two distinct ten-credit modules that students may opt to take as stand-alone micro-credentials. The program is designed to be delivered online to prospective students.

 

The program is structured to furnish participants with the requisite knowledge and tools for sound decision-making and leadership in onshore management roles, as well as offering support for various maritime operations such as port management, ship management, offshore energy development, aquaculture, and other marine endeavor's associated with Ireland.

 

Emphasising alignment with ESF+ priorities, the program will adopt a blended delivery approach, predominantly online, supplemented by class tutorials and networking opportunities within maritime partner company settings. It will prioritize continuous professional development (CPD), integrating skill training in leadership, analytical thinking, decision-making, negotiation, and business acumen.
