BBus (Hons) Culinary Entrepreneurship

In the first semester, students of the Bachelor of Business (Honours) in Culinary Entrepreneurship, will complete three modules through accelerated learning (over a 6 week period), which will be followed by an industry internship which will take place for a minimum of eight weeks.

During this internship, students will be placed in the food industry or a fine dining restaurant. In order to deepen their learning experience in this module, students are required to complete a sectoral analysis for the company that they are working with, to identify shifting trends, emerging markets and potential business opportunities.

In the second semester, students will undertake three modules, through traditional delivery methods, whilst also working on a capstone project through the ‘Applied Food Industry Project’ module. This module will require the learner to work on a real-life issue for a food based company. The student will be faced with the complexities of operating in a real life situation, which will fortify their learning.
