Human Centered Artificial Intelligence

The digital transformation of organisations and society is in full swing, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) playing an increasingly significant role. Furthermore, the EU AI Act dramatically alters the market rules for AI systems and services, impacting EU and non-EU manufacturers, importers, distributors, authorised representatives, operators, and users. One primary objective of the Act is to ensure the safety and compliance with existing EU law on fundamental rights for AI systems placed on the EU market and used within the EU. This way, we ensure that ‘the human’ is respected in practice and the design of AI is human-centric.

In the MSc in Computing (Human Centred AI) programme at Technological University Dublin, you learn how to build and apply AI, and how to deal with the societal choices that come with it. The programme provides student-centric learning through interactive sessions, tutorials and practicals on AI trustworthiness, AI ethics, and how AI can be designed and socially harmonious. This course has been developed by a consortium of ten organisations across European Universities, Excellence Centres and Small and Medium Enterprises. European Activity includes a joint week spent working on Project ideas with industry and research partners in Utrecht annually.
