The Certificate in History of Family and Genealogical Methods is offered on-line fortnightly on Thursday evenings from 6.30-9pm, throughout the UL Autumn and Spring Semester. On every alternate week further online material is made available and in addition, there is a monthly double class or seminar, on weekdays or Saturdays, in regional centres. This course offers options of progression to the Diploma in Genealogy (NUI) and the MA History of Family.

 

PROGRAMME OF STUDY

The course consists of four modules, worth a combined 30 credits, which will be delivered on-line one evening every second week, 6.30pm to 9.00pm during the UL Autumn and Spring semesters. (Further online material is available on alternate weeks). A sympathetic academic environment will be provided by the course lecturers, who will offer guidance in appropriate research skills.
