Bachelor of Human Movement

The program prepares graduates to improve the health, fitness and wellbeing of the community. Graduates are prepared for practice in health and fitness centres, sporting organisations, sports performance laboratories, community health and rehabilitation settings and physical activity providers.

 

This 108 unit program is structured around a suite of 11 core courses (totalling 49.5 units). Students must also select and complete a set of 13 elective courses with advice to undertake at least one of two primary study streams. The two major study streams are Exercise Science and Health and Physical Education. Students may also elect to complete secondary study streams in Rehabilitation Sciences (pre-Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy/Clinical Exercise Physiology), Advanced Exercise and Sports Science, Sports Coaching, Outdoor Education, Health Promotion and Nutrition. Health and Physical Education students may also choose to complete studies in English, Maths or other secondary learning areas to increase their scope of teaching practice upon graduation from a Masters of Teaching.
