Master of Forensic Science

Take your forensic and analytical skills to the next level and master the techniques to help you develop the most scientific and objective findings in any investigation.

The Master of Forensic Science offers students with a background in science the opportunity to obtain new skills in forensic science and apply their knowledge and skills in a forensic context. ?Students will explore how chemical and biological techniques are used for forensic investigations.

Students choose one of two areas of focus, depending on their entry qualifications:

  • Forensic and Analytical Chemistry?Minor?requires a bachelor's degree in science containing a study of chemistry to at least second year level
  • Forensic Biology Minor?requires a bachelor's degree in science containing a study of biology to at least second year level.

Graduates of this course will have completed a Masters thesis and coursework designed to address topical concerns in industry and society, preparing them for further enrolment in a research higher degree or employment in forensic-science related fields.
