Private Pilot Licence
If you’re dreaming of flying but not yet ready to commit to full-time commercial pilot training, the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) is an excellent way to get started. Whether your goal is to fly recreationally or to explore the idea of an aviation career, the PPL gives you the skills and freedom to take to the skies on your own terms.
Course Structure:
Your training is delivered in two progressive stages:
- Stage 1: Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL)
Learn how to fly the aircraft safely and confidently. This stage focuses on the core skills of flight—takeoffs, landings, basic maneuvers, and handling emergencies. - Stage 2: PPL Navigation Training
Once you’re comfortable flying the aircraft, you’ll move on to learn navigation techniques. This includes cross-country flights, flight planning, weather interpretation, and radio communication procedures.
Important Information for International Students:
The PPL is a non-AQF (Australian Qualifications Framework) course, which means it is not eligible for a student visa. If you’re an international student, you will need to arrange a different visa to undertake this training.
We’re happy to guide you through the options and help you understand what’s required.
