Our nationally ranked Entrepreneurship MS program will prepare you for the challenges of turning opportunities into thriving businesses in our ever-changing world. With a master’s in Entrepreneurship from DePaul, you’ll learn how to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, innovate new products and services, and cultivate the resources to build and grow a business.

Our redesigned curriculum emphasizes the importance of the entrepreneurial mindset and innovative thinking. With fewer credit hours required than before, you’ll be able to complete your master’s in Entrepreneurship in 15 months.

Revamped to fit the needs of business professionals and reflect today’s business landscape, you’ll take online classes that follow an asynchronous format, providing you the flexibility and convenience to fit your schedule.

Coleman Entrepreneurship Center

You’ll learn by doing. Students have access to a multitude of resources and programs offered by the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center.

Internships

The Coleman Entrepreneurship Center provides direct access to internship opportunities at startups and entrepreneurial companies.

Funding for business ideas

Every year the Coleman Entrepreneurship Center awards tens of thousands of dollars in prize money to DePaul students and alumni who pitch their business ideas in the competitions that the center hosts, such as Purpose Pitch,Innovation Expo and hackathons.

Coleman Chair of Entrepreneurship Maija Renko is passionate about helping her students become socially responsible leaders. Renko teaches entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship courses; she focuses her research on the early stages of business development, factors contributing to successful business startups, and the role of entrepreneurship in bringing about social change. Renko also serves as director of research for DePaul’s Women in Entrepreneurship Institute.

Entrepreneurship (MS) Admission Requirements

  • ??Submit your online application and the $60 application fee.
  • Submit an essay explaining your interest in the program and your professional goals.
  • Submit a resume that summarizes your work experience and educational background.
  • Submit your official transcripts from all degree-granting institutions you have attended.
    Please note that not submitting all transcripts where courses have been completed could impact course waivers.

Letters of recommendation are optional for this program.

?Degree Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of the 12 required courses, or their substitutes as approved by the Chair of the Management Department.
  • All courses for credit toward the degree must be completed within six calendar years after the candidate’s first term of enrollment in the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. After a lapse of six years a course is expired. An expired course is not acceptable for the purpose of satisfaction of degree requirements and is not applicable to the degree.
