Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Minor
Students are expected to take the bulk of their coursework toward the minor from the core and elective courses offered by the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program.
A total of 27 credits is required for the minor, with at least 12 credits at the upper-division level.
All required course work must be taken on campus and no more than 3 credits of online elective course work can be used toward the on-campus minor.

The remaining 7 credits may be taken from Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) electives and from approved program courses offered in other departments.
An approved program course is one that has a focus on gender and/or women’s issues, is taught in a unit other than the WGSS Program, and has been approved as fulfilling the requirements of a WGSS Program course. See the list of WGSS electives and WGSS Program electives for the WGSS major. In addition, WGSS 410 may be taken as an elective for the minor. No more than 3 credits of WGSS 402 and WGSS 410 may count toward the minor
