• The latest University of Waikato information confirms three Foundation entry points: March, July and November.

• The 2027 College timetable confirms March, July and November/Summer School study periods.
• Individual 2027 foundation papers are being published with specific trimester availability. For example, Academic Essentials is scheduled in Hamilton in A, B and C trimesters, with in-person delivery.
• Students intending to progress to a specific bachelor's degree should check its subject prerequisites and progression requirements before selecting Foundation electives.
• For progression into qualifications covered by Waikato's specific admission rules, the University generally requires no less than C- in any Foundation paper and B- or better in FOUND021 and FOUND022.
• Some programmes may have additional admission requirements, so completion of Foundation Studies should not be interpreted as unconditional entry to every bachelor's degree.
• The University of Waikato College states that courses are delivered by Navitas NZ Limited on behalf of the University of Waikato. 

International Student Visa Requirements

International students normally require a New Zealand Fee Paying Student Visa to study this programme in New Zealand.

Current Immigration New Zealand requirements include:

• Evidence that tuition fees have been paid, can be paid, or are covered by a scholarship.
• Evidence of sufficient funds for living expenses or an acceptable sponsor.
• Acceptable medical and travel insurance for the period of study.
• Meeting health and character requirements where applicable.
• Demonstrating a genuine intention to study in New Zealand.
