Latest Updates / Special Requirements

• The current University page confirms the generic Graduate Diploma remains a 120-point, one-year Level 7 qualification.
• Waikato's regulations require at least 90 points in one approved subject and at least 75 points at Level 300 or above.
• Subject availability is dynamic. The fact that a subject appears in the regulations does not guarantee that a new Graduate Diploma intake will be available in 2027.
• Linguistics, for example, is specifically marked as not being offered as a Graduate Diploma in 2027.
• From 2027, Waikato is replacing its previous "Dual" delivery terminology with In-person, Hybrid and Online delivery descriptions.
• Students should confirm the exact 2027 subject, papers, prerequisites and delivery mode before accepting an offer.
