Military Science Minor
Return to: Programs of Study Program Description:The Minor in Military Science is for students who are pursuing a United States Army commission in the profession of arms whether they serve as a Regular Army Officer, a United States Army Reserve Officer or a United States National Guard. Students will experience realistic, dynamic training designed to teach values and skills essential for leaders in every organization. Students experience a military structure through practical exercises and assigned leadership role and responsibilities. Courses are also designed to instill professional ethics and familiarize participants with principles of physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle. The program also explores the dynamics of leading in a complex environment and prepares students to analyze and manage change. The end state of the program is for students to be adaptive leaders with the confidence in their ability to lead, make decisions, motivate and inspire subordinates and serve our Nation. Admission Requirements:The Minor is open to students who have completed Cadet Initial Entry Training (CIET), completed the requirements of Military Science 1010, 1020, 2010, 2020 with a grade of C or better or are a graduate of Basic Training or other service component basic initial training. |
