Program Description:

The B.S. in Business degree with a major in General Business incorporates  a select set of junior and senior level courses from all major areas in Business that will provide students with an arsenal of knowledge in multiple functional areas of Business.

Program Requirements:


I. Wright State Core: 39 Hours


ELEMENT 1: COMMUNICATION: 6 HOURS


ELEMENT 2: MATHEMATICS: 4 HOURS


ELEMENT 3: GLOBAL TRADITIONS: 6 HOURS


ELEMENT 4: ARTS/HUMANITIES: 3 HOURS


ELEMENT 5: SOCIAL SCIENCE: 6 HOURS


ELEMENT 6: NATURAL SCIENCE: 8 HOURS


ADDITIONAL CORE COURSES: 6 HOURS


MULTICULTURAL COMPETENCE:


Two courses from any of the Wright State Core (MC) designated courses

WRITING ACROSS THE CURRICULUM:


Two Integrated (IW) courses from the Wright State Core

II. Business Core Requirements: 42 Hours


III. General Business Major Requirements: 24 Hours


IV. Electives: 15 Hours


3000-4000 level courses offered by the College of Business:
The following courses do not apply: EC 2000, 2100, 2500, 2900, and FIN 2050.
The following restrictions apply: Maximum 2 hours Health, Physical Education and Recreation; Maximum 4 hours Military Science.
MTH 1450 and math courses below the level of MTH 1260 or 1270 will not apply.

Total: 120 Hours

The Graduation Planning Strategy (GPS) has been created to illustrate one option to complete degree requirements within a particular time frame. Students are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor to adjust this plan based on credit already earned, individual needs or curricular changes that may not be reflected in this year’s catalog.
