Performing Arts Auditions

Auditions for our performing arts programmes are held towards the end of the year. They usually involve workshops or group classes as well as some individual demonstrations. 

Combine core courses with a specialist BOW and two individual special topics devised by the student. Core courses include Contexts and Practice, and Creative Enterprise. The body of work (BOW) and the special topics build on previous learning and can draw on the any of the following:

  • Instrument and ensemble classes

  • Improvisation

  • Composition

  • Recording

  • Analysing and arranging

  • Music theory

  • Future industry relevant technologies, for example sound and light

  • Alternative musical genres such as Barbershop or Choir
