Electrical Installer
Overview
The Electrical Installer course offers practical skills assessment (Electrician Stages 1, 2 and 3), theory and regulations tuition in preparation for the examination and approved First Aid training. .This is 30 weeks evening block course, partially fulfilling requirements for the Electrical Installer class of registration set by Electrical Workers Registration Board (EWRB).
The course does not include the theory or regulations examination while practical skills are assessed but the training is not provided.

This course is for
Electrical workers who seek to obtain the Electrical Installer class of registration at EWRB. In the process, candidates need to be assessed in electrician three stages practical skills, complete instruction in safe working practices, basic first aid and cardiac-pulmonary resuscitation course and complete preparation for theory examination and regulation examination set by the EWRB at ASPEQ.
The types of work a registered electrical installer is permitted to carry include the installation or maintenance of conductors used in works or installations which are directly related to one or more of the following:
- security systems; or
- fire alarm systems; or
- railway systems; or
- lift/escalator systems; or
- heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems; or
- renewable energy systems of electrical supply which do not exceed 10kVA capacity and are intended for connection to a standard low voltage installation (not including any works, installation, appliance or fitting that may be connected to those systems of supply).
