You can study offshore online for one year. This programme provides the common core for all of the pathways in the professional IT suite of New Zealand qualifications and may be recognised for credit towards these. You will be equipped for further IT related study and prepare you for employment in an entry level IT role.

 

You will be able to:

•   Attain a broad understanding of the core concepts and practical skills in Information Technology.

•  Apply the fundamentals of current and emerging concepts and practice in IT.

•  Demonstrate awareness of appropriate professional practice and work both as part of a team and     independently under broad supervision.

 

Programme Specific Information

The New Zealand Certificate in Information Technology (Level 5) may be completed in one year of full-time study. This is offered online for offshore students only and will provide a pathway into the professional IT suite of qualifications upon entry into New Zealand. This includes WITT’s New Zealand Diploma in Information Technology Technical Support (Level 5) that can lead to a Bachelor of IT programme. Students can also study a further 3 courses to complete the New Zealand Diploma in Web Development and Design offered by WITT offshore/online and pathway into the Bachelor of IT upon entry into New Zealand. The undergraduate IT degree is not currently offered at WITT but is offered by many education providers in New Zealand.
