There are two distinct situations for international students.

For online study from outside New Zealand, Massey explicitly permits international students to study the PGCertBus online from outside New Zealand. A New Zealand student visa is generally not required merely for undertaking the programme offshore.

For an international student physically studying at a Massey campus in New Zealand, the relevant visa is generally the New Zealand Fee Paying Student Visa.

Immigration New Zealand currently states that this visa:

• costs from NZD $850;
• can allow a stay of up to 4 years;
• requires an offer of place from an approved education provider;
• requires sufficient funds for tuition or an applicable scholarship;
