Postgraduate Diploma in Construction – PGDipConstr

Why Study / Key Benefits

The Postgraduate Diploma in Construction (PGDipConstr) at Massey University is a postgraduate, predominantly taught qualification designed for students who already have a construction-related academic background and want to develop advanced professional knowledge without undertaking a strongly research-focused programme. Massey describes it as a pathway toward becoming a construction professional with knowledge and skills relevant to industry. The qualification can also provide a pathway into the Master of Construction, subject to the required academic performance.

Key benefits include:

  • Advanced study in construction and the built environment at NZQF Level 8.
  • Flexible study, with the option to complete the diploma with an endorsement or without a specialisation.
  • Access to specialist areas including construction law, construction project management, digital built environment, quantity surveying and sustainable built environment.
  • Development of professional, analytical and research-related skills that can support progression to master's-level study.
  • Online study is available, making the programme accessible to international students outside New Zealand.
  • The programme is designed around contemporary construction issues including project management, BIM, digital technologies, construction law, quantity surveying and sustainability.
