Students should also note:
- At least one major is compulsory.
- The Management major requires 120 credits.
- At least 60 credits of the major must be at 300 level.
- The overall degree requires at least 75 credits at 300 level.
- Some advanced courses may only be offered once a year.
- Prerequisites should be planned carefully.
- An internship, where selected, is normally additional to the major requirements.
- A minor is optional.
- Double-major study requires at least 375 credits under the current BBus information.
International Student Visa Requirements
There are two different situations for an international student:
- Online study from outside New Zealand
Massey explicitly allows international students to study the BBus online outside New Zealand. A New Zealand student visa is therefore not normally required merely to undertake the programme while remaining outside New Zealand.
- Physical study in New Zealand
If an international student chooses on-campus study at Auckland or Manawat, the Fee Paying Student Visa is the relevant standard visa category for eligible fee-paying study.
Current Immigration New Zealand requirements include:
- Offer of place from an approved education provider.
- Sufficient funds to pay tuition fees or an applicable scholarship.
- Sufficient funds for living costs or an acceptable sponsor.
- Acceptable medical and travel insurance.
- Health and character requirements.
- Genuine intention to study in New Zealand.
- Ability to leave New Zealand at the end of the stay.
