Diploma in Community Healthcare and Support (Level 7)

New Zealand has a strong demand for key staff in the Healthcare sector and NZSE offers several opportunities for students to advance in a Healthcare career through rigorous and up-to-date programmes.
With NZSE’s Diploma in Community Healthcare and Support (Level 7) you’ll be equipped with necessary skills to provide holistic care to the aged community.

 

What you study

Graduate with the practical skillset and technical knowledge required to work in palliative and aged care, rehabilitation, health promotion and primary health care. Subjects you will cover include:

  • Primary healthcare
  • Professional practice and legislation
  • Research for healthcare practice
  • Rehabilitation
  • Geriatric care
  • Palliative care

 

Gain real-world experience that gets you job-ready – at the end of your studies you will undertake 160 hours of work placement at an aged care facility or similar working environment. Upon graduation you will be able to work with a minimum pay of $28.25 an hour according to the New Zealand Government’s pay parity agreement (starting from 1 July 2023).
