Diploma in Enrolled Nursing (Level 5)
Start your healthcare career as an Enrolled Nurse. This 18-month full time diploma, located at our Auckland campus, is designed to prepare you for safe, competent, and culturally responsive practice. Enrolled nurses must work with access to, and seek when appropriate, guidance from a registered nurse or other registered health practitioner.

Safely administer medication under the supervision of a Registered Nurse

Reflect on your practice and prepare for real-world nursing responsibilities

Where this can take you
On successful completion of the programme and passing the State Final Examination you will then apply to register as an Enrolled Nurse (EN) with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
As an EN, you can work in:

Hospitals settings

Mental health, addiction, or disability services

Residential care or rehabilitation services
-
Community and home care environments
You may also choose to continue your education through higher level qualifications in nursing or other allied health fields, such as a Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor of Midwifery.
