This module guides you through the life cycle process of becoming a UX designer.  The module focuses upon the creative, strategic & technical skills required in designing user experiences (UX). As part of this module you will develop a portfolio of work which may be used to showcase your skills in all aspects of the UXD process. Using a combination of theory & practice you will: 

• Explore the fundamental principles of visual design in order to dissect the meaning, perceptions & values we attach to aesthetic design including interface design  
• Plan & conduct UX led research into potential users through the use of personas, story mapping & scenarios 
• Apply UXD principles to content design & navigational architecture 
• Design visual elements that make user experiences enjoyable, engaging & user friendly 
• Appraise & evaluate usability in a wide range of contexts

• Cultivate best practices as a Reflective UX Practitioner
