Middle Eastern Cooking
Our Middle Eastern Cooking course explores the rich, extended culinary tradition and history of the Middle East. Various cultures have influenced culinary traditions in the region throughout history, which has resulted in many unique techniques and colourful, aromatic dishes with diverse flavours. Learn dishes from this incredible culinary heritage using such distinctive ingredients as olives, olive oil, saffron, nuts, grains, cheese, dates, herbs, and spice blends. Learn such recipes as za'atar, tabbouleh, falafel, shish taouk, baba ghanoush, pita, baklava, mint tea, and more.

Course Essentials:
You must bring your full George Brown chef uniform, black safety shoes (non-slip and steel toe) and tools to the first class.
Prerequisites
You must have completed our HOSF 9088 Culinary Arts 1 course or our HOSF 9473 Culinary Arts 1 (Online) course. (An approved equivalent is also acceptable.)
