Spirits and Other Beverages

Our Spirits and Other Beverages course exposes you to the major white spirits (gin, vodka, eaux de vie, grappa, tequila, sake) and the major brown spirits (scotch, whiskey, rye, rum, bourbon, brandies) of the world. This beverages course also teaches you about the styles and types of beer, coffee, tea, and sake from a global perspective. Explore the various production methods and general principles behind mixed drinks, learn how to taste spirits and other beverages, and develop the skills you need to differentiate between established products and craft menus.

 

Prerequisites

You must be at least 19 years of age and you must have completed our HOST 9112 Sensory Development and Wine Styles course.
