Study of the concepts, practice of governance of coastal and marine environments, including coastal zone management and marine spatial planning, MPA frameworks and marine innovation An examination is made of the key concepts and approaches to the management of complex marine and coastal systems in the context of the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These approaches are linked to the more detailed study of the development of coastal zone management and of marine spatial planning practices and techniques, across system scales, and the design of integrated coastal zone management plans.
