By engaging with digital education approaches and methodologies (both theoretical and hands-on) our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in Digital Education explores the ways that digital education can enhance learning, teaching, research, training, and other professional practices.

 

On this CPD Digital Education programme, you will be introduced to foundational theories and methodologies in Digital Education in tandem with the evidence and research base informing those approaches. You will have the opportunity to assess your existing skills and practice in light of national, international, and disciplinary frameworks. You can then build on these strengths to design (or redesign) learning activities, assessments, or feedback plans using digital education approaches.  We facilitate learning and evaluation of a variety of digital education tools and approaches with a view to integrating them as appropriate to your own discipline and pedagogical approach.

 

Through practical workshops, reflections, discussions, and assessments, CPD participants will gain foundational knowledge in digital education as well as the confidence to respond to unexpected challenges. You will be able to reflect on the ways that digital education can support student learning and will be able to articulate your own approach to digital education and the rationale for its inclusion in your own teaching.  The 10-credit Introduction to Digital Education module can be taken in Semester 1 or 2.
