Why Choose

On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:

  1. Explain to a peer group, in an illustrated presentation of a contemporary work of architecture, the factors that influence the design decisions on building technology and their integration.

  2. Analyse the relationship between an overall architectural design concept, and the environmental, structural and construction technologies adopted.

  3. Apply appropriate procedures for the evaluation of selected architecturally significant technological design decisions.

  4. Evaluate technological specifications and system selctions using evidence from practice, from technical literature, or from analytical procedures.
