The MA in Advanced Fieldwork Practice and Supervision (Social Work) represents an innovative and timely option for practitioners who have already successfully completed the one year Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Fieldwork Practice and Supervision (Social Work) wishing to advance academic qualifications and to develop their knowledge and experience of research in the areas of practice teaching and supervision. 

 

The aim of this programme is:

1. To equip participants with the skills and confidence to contribute to cognate peer reviewed journals.
2. Conduct a piece of social research in an area of social work practice teaching and/or
3. Undertake a literature review, methodology, analysis of data and presentation of findings.
4. Connect primary research data with theoretical debates and concepts
5. Identify any original contribution which their research makes to the development of practice
