Energy and environmental engineering is a fast-growing area at the forefront of the quest to produce energy in an environmentally friendly, sustainable and socially responsible way. 

 

Energy and environmental engineers are involved in the design of developing energy and environmental systems with a wide range of abilities to address important global challenges related to:

  • energy resources
  • energy generation and renewables
  • energy storage/conversion
  • emissions management
  • net zero and carbon capture
  • environmentally and economically sustainable energy provision
  • waste resource management and utilisation
