For all modules and courses the applications portal will close 4 weeks before the start date. All applications must be submitted and funding confirmed before the portal closes. Any applications that have not been processed and or do not have funding confirmed from the sponsor organisation before the portal closure will not be accepted by the IHSC administrator staff

 

This module will provide the Dental Nurse with the foundations needed to support the development of knowledge, skills and understanding required to take patients dental records. This module will focus upon practical skills such as photography, impression taking and Intra-oral scanning. The Dental Nurse will be able to develop their skills to provide an effective service to patients/ clients.

 

Aims:

This module aims to: 

• Provide the student with applied theoretical knowledge, decision making skills and core practical clinical skills to initiate competent, evidence-based care when taking dental impressions, dental photography, and intraoral scanning.
