For all modules and courses the applications portal will close 4 weeks before the start date. All applications must be submitted and funding confirmed before the portal closes. Any applications that have not been processed and or do not have funding confirmed from the sponsor organisation before the portal closure will not be accepted by the IHSC administrator staff

This module aims to provide all practitioners working with neonates and their families an opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of the key factors of essential neonatal care on the ward or maternity unit. This will enable the practitioner to highlight the essential health and social concerns surrounding neonates and demonstrate the skills and competence to provide holistic care to some of our most vulnerable patients. The importance of family centred care, mental health for both parents and neonates as well as bereavement will also be explored.

Visiting clinical experts and simulations sessions in a state of the art SIM suite will ensure the practitioners are exposed to high level, clinically relevant and up to date knowledge which will enhance their understanding of current neonatal issues, advance their practice and ensure the neonatal population are receiving evidence based care throughout their hospital stay.
