The GradDipPsycSc consists of 120 points.

Compulsory courses include:

• PSYC375 – Intermediate Research Methods and Statistics
• PSYC379 – Introduction to Psychopathology

Depending on the student's previous research-methodology background, the Programme Director may also require:

• PSYC206 – Introductory Research Methods and Statistics

UC states that PSYC206 may be required if there is not evidence of prior learning in research methodologies.

Elective component:

• At least 45 points must be selected from 300-level Psychology courses.
• The remaining points can be selected from 100-, 200- or 300-level Psychology courses.
• PSYC377 is excluded from the eligible remaining courses.

The programme therefore allows students to construct a Psychology-focused study plan around their previous education and interests.

International students studying this qualification physically in New Zealand will normally require a Fee Paying Student Visa.

Immigration New Zealand currently states that this visa:
