The most common mental health issues in New Zealand include anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
This course will help you learn about Aotearoa’s health and well-being organisation, and then focus on the field of Mental Health and Addiction Support. You’ll discover the range of career paths and learn the skills necessary to work with people, groups, and communities.
On Campus: You’ll experience a unique combination of practical on-campus learning and flexible learning from home. This means you'll have the choice to work and study at the same time if you choose.
Online: You'll need to be working or volunteering with a registered healthcare provider to take advantage of our online study option. This will help you advance your skills while you continue to work, giving you the flexibility, tools and resources to learn anytime, anywhere at your own pace.
You'll also gain industry experience at a healthcare provider as part of your training.
