This course provides a solid foundation for aspiring solicitors in England and Wales. 

 

As part of this course, you’ll:

• Build your comprehensive understanding of the law, studying topics that could vary from public law and the English legal system to property law and equity and trusts
• Evaluate how the rule of law applies across a range of contexts, including legal, social, economic, commercial, political, historical, ethical and cultural
• Develop the skills, knowledge and competencies required to be a solicitor
• Gain an insight into working in the legal sector with an optional placement year
• Understand and explore concepts of professionalism and the demands of professional practice during your final year, while obtaining a master’s level qualification
• Be given training and help to prepare for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE1) and receive a head start on preparing for the second stage (SQE2)
• Tailor your study to match your career aspirations as you choose from a varied portfolio of optional modules
