This exciting course prepares you to become a skilled and confident leader in nursing.

 

You’ll develop both knowledge and hands-on skills as you study biological, psychological and nursing sciences. The innovative and expansive Advanced Nursing curriculum features exciting opportunities to explore mental health, sustainability and planetary health, and leadership in nursing.

• Leadership: Leadership development is a cornerstone of this program, helping you build the essential skills that distinguish exceptional healthcare professionals.
• Mental health: Mental health is woven throughout this course, with five specialised units designed to develop your understanding and integrate mental health principles into holistic nursing practice.
• Sustainability and planetary health: Themes of sustainability and planetary health are integrated through the course. In your third year, you’ll study a Planetary Health for Nursing unit to discover the connections between our natural environment and population health.

 

Through simulated practice and immersive fieldwork, you'll gain hands-on experience across diverse healthcare environments. This includes 840 hours of clinical placements in hospitals, private practices, aged care facilities, rural health settings and mental health services.¹

 

You'll also be encouraged to collaborate with interprofessional healthcare teams, studying alongside nursing, medical and allied health specialists from different fields.
