Employment for skilled human resources professionals is set to soar. Projections by the Australian Government's Department of Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business show jobs for human resource professionals are forecast to increase by 15.7 per cent by May 2024.

This course will set you on the path to a dynamic career in human resources. You will develop a broad understanding of human resource management and explore its contribution to organisational effectiveness and efficiency.

You’ll study the fundamental principles underpinning management theory, explore the associated practices in contemporary organisations and consider the future of management in light of 21st century issues such as globalisation, corporate social responsibility and change management.

This course will also explore employment relations in Australia, particularly the roles of the tribunals, the state, unions and management. You’ll study collective and enterprise bargaining, negotiation, industrial action and conflict.
