Bachelor of Human Services/Bachelor of Justice
Justice and human services combines two closely associated areas to offer a concentrated focus on community, support services and the justice system. You will have the opportunity to explore child and family services, disability services, services to young people, and Indigenous health. You can choose from the following justice majors; criminology and violence prevention, investigations and intelligence, or policy, politics and social reform.
More than 500 hours of placement are available in local, regional and overseas locations. During these placements, you will further develop your assessment and intervention skills and your own practice framework. There are also a number of opportunities for a placement in the justice fields.
This course has a strong focus on contemporary social issues and will develop skills in casework and case management, social policy processes, group and team practice skills, advanced communication, community work, and understanding families and relationships.
