People who are blind or who have low vision may experience social, emotional, developmental, educational and health issues that impact their quality of life. With the support of their families, the community and specialist practitioners, people with blindness or low vision can lead fulfilling lives and have productive careers.
The Education: Blindness/Low Vision specialisation will qualify you as a teacher of students with blindness or low vision. You’ll learn how to help students gain the skills they need to enjoy a satisfying career that looks beyond their disability, as well as achieve their personal goals. Completing this specialisation will enable you to join the South Pacific Educators of Vision Impaired and become a service provider under the NDIS.
