Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law

Our Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law gives you the degree needed to help immigrants and refugees call Australia home. Taught by specialist immigration barristers and migration agents, the one of a kind program lets you major in Australian immigration and refugee law. With full accreditation from the Department of Home Affairs, the program supplements online learning with work experience and one face-to-face weekend workshop to give you the skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in Migration Law.

You will study the relevant laws and policies related to migration and refugee law in Australia. In particular, you will learn how to navigate your way through the Migration Act 1958 (Cth) and Migration Regulations 1994 (Cth). The key legislative and regulatory machinery that governs the entry and presence of non-citizens in Australia. Students, as they navigate through the practice oriented resources of the program, will acquire the opportunity to critically analyse Australia’s current and historic approach to regulation of migration and refugee law. Please note: Available to onshore international non-student visa holders - This program consists of 6 subjects. Five subjects are wholly online. The remaining subject has online components which are supported by a face to face workshop as contained within a Capstone Practical Training Placement.
