The Bachelor of Industrial Design (Honours) program prepares you for the profession with a new culture of learning supported by a user/student-centered approach, competency learning, design studio-project based learning, applied design research and innovation.

 

Graduates in industrial design are expected create and innovate by adding value to experiences, interaction, products, businesses and systems. They are design entrepreneurs and experts that can problem-solve ambiguity. You will need to work independently or in collaboration with others in new product development teams, user experience and interaction, product service systems, production and manufacturing. The program culminates in a final year industrial design project intending to develop visionary work leading to industry placement, Masters or PhD research place of design in society and its effect on people, the environment and the economy.
