The Bachelor of Planning (Pathway to Master of Urban Management and Planning) degree is a four-year accredited program in urban and regional planning. The Geography and Urban Studies major and Master of Urban Management and Planning components cover the history, theory and method of geography and planning, as well as preparation for professional practice as a town planner. The program work includes preparation in professional practice, history and the theoretical and legal frameworks for planning. You will develop skills in a range of relevant areas including governance, urban finance and sustainable strategies. The three-year Bachelor of Planning component of this program is offered at Parramatta and Penrith. The final year Master of Urban Management and Planning is only offered at Parramatta campus. The degree incorporates a placement with local planning/urban management employers, working on a variety of planning tasks to ensure you graduate with an understanding of the planning/urban management workplace.
