Model-based Health Economic Evaluation Short course
In this interactive two-day short course, participants will develop practical skills in model-based economic evaluation for decision making in healthcare settings through a combination of lectures, workshop exercises and computer lab-based classes.
Demand for healthcare is increasing in Australia and globally, driven by ageing populations and the increased prevalence of chronic diseases. It is critical that resources are allocated efficiently and equitably so that health systems remain sustainable into the future, while also maximising positive health outcomes across the population. Model-based economic evaluations involve the use of mathematical models to simulate and analyse the economic impact of various healthcare decisions, interventions and policies.
