Outcomes of the Master of Cybersecurity

Through the course, you’ll learn how to:

  • critically evaluate existing systems using the theories, techniques and software tools available in the areas of cybersecurity, and propose improvements
  • adapt new and emerging technologies in application development based on key principles of cybersecurity
  • analyse and document core issues in building secure, effective systems
  • competently design architectures for secure and trustworthy systems
  • enhance existing systems with new technologies, learned through either a significant research thesis or research-based industry project
  • examine issues and solutions in security and system design as they impact different communities
  • understand the implications of ethical issues and norms in privacy and security

Graduates may be eligible for Australian Computer Society (ACS) professional membership.
