Studying a refreshed curriculum in-line with the changing pharmacy profession, you’ll graduate with the technical knowledge and soft skills necessary to succeed as a patient-centred medicines expert, adaptable and ready to face new healthcare challenges as they arise.

You'll learn in dedicated laboratories, mock dispensaries and simulated pharmacies at the Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (PACE) – UQ’s state-of-the-art biomedical science centre, designed specifically for the teaching of pharmacy-related subjects and research.

With 3 integrated streams of study, you'll develop knowledge and skills in pharmacy practice and medicines management; consultation and dispensing skills; pharmaceutical sciences; and social pharmacy and the health system. Our integrated approach means you’ll gain a strong understanding of how theory is applied to real cases across a wide range of settings.

Throughout your degree, you’ll learn how to provide safe and effective person-centred care to improve health through the use of medicines. And our interprofessional education program ensures you’ll know how to work as a valued member of a multi-disciplinary primary healthcare team once you graduate, work-ready, in a profession with one of the highest graduate employment rates in Australia.
