Diploma of Built Environment

Whether you’re looking for a pathway to an undergraduate degree or contemplating a career change, Bond University College’s diploma programs are the ideal steppingstone to university studies.

To help you manage your transition to study, our flexible program allows you to customise your subject load – starting with one or two subjects part-time and building to full-time as your confidence grows. Alternatively, you can complete the diploma in just eight months studying full-time and start your chosen bachelor’s degree at the third semester mark.

The Diploma of Built Environment is a direct pathway into undergraduate studies in property, construction management and quantity surveying, project management and architecture. It offers a broad understanding of planning processes, building structures, land economy and the environment, with the option to tailor your program to suit your future study plans.

One of the key benefits of opting to start your university studies with a diploma is the extra support Bond University College offers. You’ll be well prepared for academic study in your first few weeks with an intensive skills program that covers essay writing, critical reading, study techniques, time management and more. There’s more face-to-face teaching time in small group classes. And you’ll have access to one-on-one tutoring, workshops and targeted study help through the Academic Skills Centre.

The Diploma of Built Environment provides a foundation for a career in various property sectors. This program enables students to specialise in either property or construction management and quantity surveying.

Successful completion of the program provides students with a pathway to most Bond University undergraduate degrees, with a possible 80 credit points credited towards their next program of study. Students are advised to check the degree study structures online to confirm for which subjects they may receive credit.
