Master of Arts (Coursework)

The Faculty of Society & Design offers a number of specialist postgraduate degrees in communication, international relations, TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages), criminology and psychology.

The Master of Arts (Coursework) offers a more cross-disciplinary option where you can tailor your postgraduate studies to pursue your professional interests and potential career prospects, selecting from a mix of subjects different study areas.

The program gives you an opportunity to undertake independent research in an area that is particularly relevant to you expertise. You can undertake a major thesis (Part A and B – equivalent to 40 credit points) or a smaller research project (10 credit points) plus 3 other general electives chosen from any Faculty.

The Master of Arts (Coursework) program offers an opportunity for graduates to continue studies in a particular area, or branch out into other areas. Graduates of this program will possess a strong and broad set of skills essential to all professions, no matter what their chosen career. A range of subjects are available in the program allowing students to tailor their qualifications to suit their specific career interests.
