The coursework subjects focus on global development, governance, policy, security and strategy, giving you a solid grounding in contemporary theoretical and policy issues.
The curriculum also incorporates a research project completed under the supervision of experienced academics across diverse topics. Your selected topic can be tailored to suit your professional interests and career ambitions.
The final component of the program is a?20-week Professional?Portfolio subject where you will develop highly relevant preparation for the workplace.

The Master of International Relations program is an innovative, forward-looking program that is attuned to the dynamics of the globalising world and its multiple diplomatic channels. The program provides you with a solid grounding in contemporary, theoretical, and cultural issues and, through an enhanced understanding of regional and global politics, development, strategic decision making, sociology and economy, you will be able to further your career in diplomacy, international trade, government, and business. At the end of the program, you will undertake a professional portfolio involving your research and practical expertise in your chosen vocational area. Eligibility criteria applies to the professional placement option. The program duration is 4 semesters and 20 weeks (92 weeks).
